Hello and welcome to our little slice of the World Wide Web, a place where passion and opinions run high in our niche area, which just so happens to be the world of patents and innovation. The chief Patent Fools are Gene Quinn and John White, patent attorneys and educators who have a particular view of the world that is sure to inform you, as well as entertain you, as you proceed through your journey of patent-enlightenment.

So how could we possibly make the topic of patents and innovation entertaining? A good question, and one that you will undoubtedly learn the answer to as we ourselves endeavor to figure that out. We like to think that we are the funniest patent attorneys on the planet, but then again the bar for reaching this lofty distinction is not very high. In any event, our evidence of that we are the funniest patent attorneys alive is that our students laugh at our jokes (most of the time), and we are not tax attorneys so we have to have some personality, right? Whether we are really entertainers or just hearing pity laughter is for our students to know and you to find out.

The point of PatentFools is to try and identify wrongs, articulate positions, influence decision-makers and have some fun saving the world for generations to come. Essentially, we are fighting for truth, justice and the American way, not unlike Superman… well… very much unlike Superman if you are concerning yourself with the faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive and the ability to leap tall buildings with a single bound. We are, however, not affected by kryptonite, so at least we have that going for us, which is nice!

The US patent system if facing a monumental crisis and we are here to help. If we can have fun doing that and give you a smile from time to time then more power to us!
